A 20+ year veteran at DBJ, Shumpei has spent the last 15 years supporting aviation and tourism industries. He was a founding member of DBJ’s aircraft financing team in 2011 and built DBJ’s airline, aircraft lessor client relationships out of Tokyo and London. While in London, he started up DBJ’s European airport financing business leading to a stint at the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau managing the privatization of multiple Japanese airports. Back at DBJ, he aspires to help transform Japan’s aviation industry which has seen a structural change with the huge tourism demand into Japan. Multiple time presenter at GAD and other aviation / tourism conferences.
